Harper's piloting and testing facility
can help you
refine your process parameters under simulated production conditions with a variety of
equipment:
Harper Rotary Tube Furnace -
With a temperature range up to 1,550°C and a tightly
sealed environment, this equipment can be used for drying, low and high-temperature
calcining, oxide reduction and controlled oxidation. Tube types include mullite ceramic,
cast alloy, and fused quartz.
Harper Small Box Kiln -
This quick-cycling kiln has program capabilities and is
ideal for small batch firings.
Harper Carpet Hearth Kiln - A continuous, air-atmosphere-only kiln for fast firing
low profile loads. Two-zone control for temperatures up to 1,510°C.
Harper Mesh Belt Furnace -
8 temperature zones to fast fire sophisticated profiles
in air or controlled atmosphere.
Harper High Temperature Muffle Furnace -
Produces small batches in inert or reducing
atmosphere up to 1,700°C.
Special waste remediation facility -
As an added service, Harper and a leading waste
management firm operate an installation where customers can observe and test thermal waste
desorption under actual field conditions.
State-of-the-art equipment expansion -
Current (1995) expansion plans include a
pusher kiln and graphite-element modular furnace.
All Harper pilot units are rented on a daily basis with standard industrial gasses
available. Following testing, Harper will offer recommendations and prepare an accurate
system quote based on the test results.
