Harper Creates an After Sales Support Group
Lancaster, NY - August 2001
In keeping with dramatic growth in recent years, Harper
International Corp. has created a new Commissioning, Startup and After
Sales Service Group within its Engineering and Project Management
Department. This group will consist of both new hires and seasoned
Harper professional who are well versed in various aspects of Harper
technology and field problem solving skills. The group will be
comprised of individuals trained as process engineering specialists,
mechanical engineers, electrical and programming professionals, aided by
an able and experienced field execution and startup crew.
In a statement from Phil Nowicki, who joined Harper
International as Service Manager, "The Start-up and Commissioning
group has been created to bolster an area of our business that is vitally
important to the continued success of the company. Our customers
expect that the service and support they receive after the sale reflects
the same high quality that Harper International has earned for the
equipment that it manufactures." Mr. Nowicki holds an MS
Degree in Manufacturing Management, and has over 7 years' experience with
the Niagara Blower Co. In addition to Mr. Nowicki, the other members
of this team include John Sroka, a veteran technical professional at
Harper with over 20 years in applications engineering, design, field
startup, and plant commissioning. Javier Garcia, Dennis Mckown and
Bill Parker have been added as Sr. Electrical and Programming Specialists;
and Jim Kwapich will join the group to proved field service and
instruction manuals. Greg Pryswara will continue in his role as
Field Service Technichian.
This team has been created to assist Harper customers in
the critical phase of project execution and to enhance and strengthen
Harper's presence and contributions during this critical and final phase
of a project. The development of a "Customer Focused"
culture at Harper has been well underway. This has allowed harper to
avoid the common mistake of treating the symptoms rather than finding the
cure. "The basis of the change is very simple - we must
exceed each of our customer's expectations," says Nowicki.
The Group will continue to assist customers on an ongoing
basis, providing post sales service. With this and other measures
underway to strengthen its operations, harper is well on its way to
fulfilling it's goal of providing flawless project execution and
impeccable after sales service.
